New Life for an Ol' Rolla' ??

Hi everyone. I own an 86' SR5 corolla. I've found some new corolla motors like up to a 97 with fuel injection, the harness, computer and such. Problem is the transmission. Does anyone know up to what year new Corolla motors will bolt up to the 86' SR5 5speed manual transmission? Also, would the motor have to come from a standard transmission, or could I use the motor if it came from the factory with an automatic?

I've found a 97 motor with everything I need, harness, computer box, in the ad it says ''everything you need to swap into your Corolla today.'' Call for price. This motor is bolted to an automatic transmission.

Is there anything that I'd have to source to swap this motor into my car?

Thanks.

nope, the only motors that you can bolt onto that tranny are the 4ag's and the 4a engines because they have the same block.
