Has just been announced that the good man passed away today aged 93.A quiet end to an impressive life.

Fox was among the first to post an obituary, which ,as is customary thesedays, appears to be largely pre-written.

I don't feel the need to be sad for the guy. I mean 93... That's a damn good run.

Yes I agree with a moment of silence. Naki I am impressed with you posting something positive about a republican!

And Naki what are you doing reading the republican slanted Fox news?

Well, for the last ten or so of those years, he had Alzheimers so severe he couldn't even remember the names of his family members... I do feel for sorry for him for that.

A lot has been said about the man. A lot more will be said over the course of the next week. What none can say is that he didn't leave an impression. He was one of my idols when I was growing up.

He had an awful disease that robs people of their minds. May it never befall us or our loved ones.

God bless.

In short,I don't think it can,as such. No cause of death has been listed, but at 93,I think that 'old age' would be a dignified and appropriate reason.

yes, 93 is a good long run. Its sad the last 10 years of his life, he was nearly always alone even when his family were with him, i would never wish that fate on anyone. no matter who they are

The way i understood the disease, is that the forgetfullness could at one point get so bad that your brain forgets how to do certain things, how to control things like heart beat, and breathing..or am i completey off on this?

The man was undoubtedly a very poignant individual. Apparently, they've collected some 5,000 or so personal letters written by him, whether to his wife, friends, associates, or to the common man who just wanted a chance at personal correspondance with the President of the United States. Supposedly, they think there are upwards of possibly 3-4,000 MORE letters that have yet to be discovered. He was truly a great orator.

I think many of us, from those keen on politics, to those who absolutely hate the stuff (me included) are nonetheless impressed by Ronald Reagan's character, whether we agree(d) with his opinions and policies or not. He truly was the common man's president. And anyone with that hearty a character, gets a thumbs up in my book. Rest in Peace, Mr. Reagan.

Our Former President Reagan was a great president. He was the president who ended the Cold War and stopped it without having to go into a country with milatry force to end it.

RIP President Reagan.

God Bless America

RIP Ronnie.

I cant said I agreed with anything you did, nor really appreciated anything you did, but you're still a human being and like all of us you deserve to rest in peace, may your memory be honoured.

Man 93, actor AND President of the United States- bloody good innings if I say so myself.

God bless Pres. Reagan. While it's sad, I'm glad he doesn't have to suffer any longer.

he may not have been the greatest president, but damned if he didn't try his best and be a genuinely good person
