2002 ram Homelink Question

I just scored a homelink option from a 99-01 concord Intrepid and it looks to be the same as what goes in the 2002 ram. I tried putting it in. It lights up but nothing except direction shows on the display. I can change the display and it beeps, but no readouts except for direction.

Do I need to modify the four prong plug? What can I do to make it work? It fits perfectly into the ram overhead display unit, and appears to be the same...I want to add the homelink, but don't want to lose my display functions. Thanks in advance!
