Popping sound resolved

I have a 1999 two wheel drive ext cab 5.3 W/82,000 m

For the past several months I have been experiencing a creeking rear suspension, most notably while turning up into my driveway. The noise was soon accompanied by a randum popping sound while driving in all kinds of differant conditions.

The temporary Fix:

Each rear axle spring assembly, at their most forward and aft positions where two leafs become one leaf, there is a steel clamp that prevents the springs from splaying out, at this point there is the slightest amount of spring travel taking place, and a shot of WD40 made them as quit as a church mouse.

Unfortunately the fix only holds for about a week. So my next move is a can of motorcycle chain lube as soon as I can pick some up.

Any-body else with this kind-of problem?

Ladder bar slapper!!! or a adda leaf helper It mounts at the top and uses the axle c-clamp bolt pattern . It then connects to the front of the spring hanger. This will keep your leaf springs from moving around and give you a better ride and handling down the road.
