It is a good game if you don't expect anything like GT3. If you buy this game wanting a GT3 type of game then you are going to be dissappointed.

Sadly thats kind of true:( I hope they make an Xbox racer soon that is a buy your car, mod it up, and race it style game. I'm sure if they make one like GT3 with PGR's graphics and keep the virtual CD thing they would sell a ton. having such a low set of cars to choose from and no ablity to modify them is a big downside. I wonder, if they made a car game like GT3 could they use the broadband internet thing for like new cars and new mods that you could download on to the hard drive to keep the game fresh if so that would be really awesome. :) any thoughts?

Oh hell yea, that would be cool, X-box is taking notes from people on their website and if you really want to push for a game like that you should go there and say so.

Honestly I prefer it to gt3. Yeah, you can't get as many different cars, and you can't mod them, but I don't want to drive most of the cars in gt3, nor do I want to waste time in a game on mods. Its not like this is real life and there's any element of skill or personality in mod'ing a car. I play the game to have fun and (sometimes) to get better, and I don't see where mod's come into it. Even changing settings(suspension, gearing, etc) gets boring. I'd rather just drive as well as I can with the cars offered.

Now, I realise other people want more stuff they can mess with. I bet they also like their games to have plots and themes. That just has nothing to do with "fun", and I find it tedious.

Onto pgr itself... I love most of the cars, they all look great, the AI is good imo, there are 200+ tracks, and the details are amazing. Oh yeah, the driving's fun too;)

I would say how much I love the make-your-own-playlist thing, but I have my computer a dozen feet from the xbox, so using it would be rather silly.

yeah i have to agree moding does get old kinda quick I have never played GT3 but i own GT2 and GT for PS1 they are awesome games but after playing PGR for sooo long when I when back and played GT2 a coulple days ago I was so dissapointed in the graphics that moding didn't make any difference, and i went back to PGR now I know gt3 has better graphics than GT2or1 but I've read elsewhere that PGR stomps them all :) I'd have to admit that some times moding gets really old fast and lots of the cars you don't really want to drive to begin with and especially don't want to take the time to mod them up:sleep:

what i think would be best would be a game like GT2 where it had to two discs so if you felt like moding them you could go to the "simulation" disc and if you wanted just to drive you could swich to the other disc :)

oh on a final note any one seen Sega GT for Xbox what do you think??? I can't wait till it comes out I got to rent it and see if it's as great as they say it's suposed to be they deemed it a "GT3 killer" we shall see. Xbox rules. :)
