I was recommend by someone to up my compression pistons for a stock 97 Honda Accord SE 2.2L F22B2 Engin at 8:8 to about 10:1 for an increase in engin output.
What I would like to know:
1. Is this applicable and safe?
2. How much gain I would get in HP?
3. Would this damage the engin in the long run?
4. I could get the parts and ask a mechanic to do it, but would just any mechanic would do, or only performance shop tech be better?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Yes its safe, about 20-30hp(estimate), no (unless you have a turbo), sure you can get a mechanic to do it. Look to spend a good amount as well.
