2002 Crown Vic, good brakes make strange noise after stop?

I have a 2002 Crown Vic, and when I come to a stop the brakes make a grinding noise, or could be some type of movement noise. I can feel it in the pedal. Braking is good, just that noise concerns me.

It has just about everything. Digital Dash etc.

Thanks,

Most newer Ford products, cars, trucks, SUVs and all will have that. The reason for it is Ford recommends a certain kind of brake pad i believe it is that has this kind of metal that actually improves the braking of the vehicle, but makes a noise as it wears.

It doesn't mean (necessarily) that the brakes are shot, it just means the pads are doing their job. It is a bit annoying, but it's a small price to pay to have excellent braking.

You may want to have them checked out at a Ford Fastlane or at the dealership considering how new your car is just to make sure, but this is probably the case.

Can someone else offer anything? I've only relayed information i recieved from a Ford Fastlane tech.

In any event, i hope this helps you!

Thanks landyacht,

I took it in today to Ford. They are going to check it out.

It only happens after I stop. It is like something is resetting, or moving back into place.

Ford found a loose Caliber, and the ABS sensor was loose or had to be replaced. It works fine now!

Thanks,
