Rough Idle - Occasional Stall

Thanks for all of the help! After several stalls on saturday on the way to get pizza, my husband decided (after my weeks of repeated insistance) to buy some throttle body cleaner and spray the throttle body. He was so irritated with the car that he could not wait until we got home to clean it, instead he did it in the parking lot, while I was in waiting for pizza.
He just took off the intake hose and pushed open the throttle body and spray the cleaner inside, wiping it out with a rag. By the time the pizza was ready, the car was fixed! - Needless to say, a thunderstorm came and drenched my husband.................but he is now a believer, which was the real reason he didn't clean it in the first place!! Thanks again guys!!

I have a 1999 1.8 wagon with 115k miles on it. My car has a problem with a rough idle when car is out of park. The engine drops 200-400 in idle speed when I brake and have come to a stop, then returns to normal when I start get up to speed. Sometimes, the car will stall, but will restart fine.
I believe the problem to be something relating to the throttle body - like needing a good cleaning (from previous discussions). Here is the real question.........my husband is tired of having to fix our car and wants to take it to the stealer, but they want $200 to do it. It seems relatively easy to do. How hard it is to get to the throttle body, where is it located on our car, and is it something I (a female) can do?? I am slightly mechanical....................
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
