Mechanical Difference of SL to Base?

I just bought a 1992 Base 3kgt, I know the convenience difference between this and the SL, but mechanically is anything different? They are both DOHC right? Were there any SOHC 3kgt's made or were the stealths the SOHC? If I buy, say an intake or exhaust package or rotors for the SL model, there won't be any problems putting it on my Base model right?
Thanx for any input!

First off, congrats on the buy :) All 3k bases and SL's had the same DOHC motors up until 97 when the base went to a SOHC. All of the Stealth bases had a SOHC motor. Ah it hurts to talk about that, as both my girl's heads are lying on the garage floor :( Anyways, all that being said, you shouldn't have a prob interchanging performance parts for the SL and base...

Thanks! I love it! I'm having rim problems though. Had problems since I put them on. Supposedly they fixed it now at my mechanic, but he still suggested I take them off and go back to stock...but it's so nice looking. :-( So, we'll see. I've read though that these cars are hard to find rims that fit. I had discount check them out and they didn't forsee any problems, but they're tire guys, not mechanics. I'll post a pic or two later of my new baby.
You guys should have seen the do-it-yourself alarm install that this guy did to this poor car! I ripped it all out last night and put it back to normal wiring, I bought a new alarm and I'll install it tomorrow.
I do have a question though, when my turn signal is on my volt gauge dips with each click...is this a common problem or is this an omen for future charge issues? With the crazy wiring this guy did I wouldn't be surprised at a short somewhere. But, electrically besides that, everything seems fine.
sorry, that was a long one, if anyone suffered through that I know you're a 3kgt enthusiast!
