This is the 1/25 Revell kit. I want to paint it the same color as a the 2000 Cobra R, and try some panel lines for the first time. I am open to other paint choices...any ideas?
The car will be curbside since I'm using the IRS and drivetrain for the '65 Conti' project. Full interior though.
I know 4-lug SVT wheels :screwy:

Cool projects!

Hehe, I'm looking for the same rims after you used them for another project.

I made this car last year, its a fun car, but I had a little trouble getting the front windshield to fit. I actually had to buy 2 extra kits just for the front windshield....I think I did use a few parts of the 2 kits to replace broken parts on the first kit...

Can't wait to see it finished. Might want to find touch up paint for the Cobra R.

Those are Sparco wheels but I forget the name of them.

Great looking datsun and the ford, yes, even if it 's american I do like it :-)

Could you tell me what kind of rims are under the ford? I m looking for similars... they do look like the celica rally kit rims...

Keep it up, and make more datsuns!

Are those wheel's of a SVT Focus diecast? Because they look very familar.

clates-THanks for the heads up on the windshield!
Tonio-Those rims were tossed into a 510 kit a friend gave me. Sparco made rims? I though they only made seats :grinno:
Bigfrit, sk8ter-You are right, these are the rims/tires from the 1/24 Maisto die-cast SVT Focus. The sam eone I used Tomm Kaira wheels on to replicate my 1:1 SVTF!

Hono-Just buy the die-cast and gank the rims for your Cobra R...then send the car to me :naughty:

They might only have 4 lug nuts, but they sure look cool under the Muzzy.Like the Datto too.Lots with SR20's in 'em here in OZ.

The four-lugs look good, but I'd rather see the Cobra R wheels out of the Tamiya SVT Cobra R Mustang kit under that Mustang's corners.

But that's just my opinion. You've got a great approach so far and I'm not arguing.

Not like the new one. Wish they made a new one :(

675 the cobra looks good. I want to see more of the datsun though.

The Turbo I4 is for his datsun project. As he said, the Mustang Cobra R will be curbside(no motor)

Yikes, I think I'm about to add to the confusion here! First off, I am making a separate progress-thread for the Datsun.
-The Sparco(chrome-looking rims) are for the Datsun.
-The Mustang has SVT rims from a Ford SVT die-cast Focus.
-The Mustang is a 1/25 Revell '99 Cobra kit.
-The Datsun is 1/25 Revell Tuner 510 kit.
Putting some '95 Cobra R wheels would look tight, but I don't want to waste the SVT rims.
This is a "95 Tamiya Cobra R model I did awhile ago...

Now for my '99 Cobra... I painted the Cobra body, decided to keep the wing on.
Geez panel lines are hard. The way I did them I'm pretty sure this is the last time...they do not look right on a scale model to me at all

Thanks!
The paint is Tamiya Bright Red, TS-49.
I think all hobby shops carry them and also online stores.
I have not clear coated yet, but I'll use Tamiya Clear, X-13?
