I have a confession to make. I like hair metal. I just like it's energy & it's just fun. Of course I prefer death & thrash metal over it, but sometimes I like to blast Motley Crue(which is my personal favorite).
Anyways, yours?

I haven't heard of any of them, except for Motley Crue and only then because Tommy Lee was in there.
So I vote for *NSYNC

Backstreet Boys OWN *NSYNC. You know this, yet you still persist.

The Darkness are pretty good - I've actually bought the CD. Not as good as much of the 80's stuff though.
BTW deadlight wtf is going on in your avatar? Looks like a sheep standing up pissing blood...

It's from a short film by Don Hertzfeldt called Rejected. It's supposed to be a fishstick, it's anus is bleeding. You'd just have to watch the movie to get it. Anyhoo, back to the thread...

Motley Crue is mad, hell retro 80's style
I love the songs Wild Side and Kickstart my Heart, hella classic
I think a good addition would imo be "Thin Lizzy"

wheres Judas Priest?Imho, Judas Priest isn't even remotely hair metal. I'd say their good, old-fashioned old-school heavy metal.

eh hem.. if you kindly open the LP for Screaming for Vengeance and look at the disc cover, you can clearly see they are hair. to the core.

They were neither pop nor hair band.
Depends on how you look at it. I agree that they weren't considered "pop" music, but at one point they were 'Top 40'...
I think the 'hair band' thing is strictly a matter of opinion. Has anyone ever really seen Slash's face?

Yeah, I've seen Slash's face, he's in Velvet Revolver now with Scott Weiland, he has his hair cut shorter and out of his face, he doesn't wear that hat anymore either, kind of strange...
