I was curious if anyone has ever used the buffing metalizer from testors? Do you just buff it out and clear coat or no clear coat at all?? any help would be appreciated thanks!

I don't buff or apply clear coat to it and it still looks great. Although I haven't actually tried clear coating or buffing on Metalizer.

Not buff the Metalizer???.....buddy....you're missing half the fun. It's even better when you buff it. :naughty:
Seriously, buff the Metailzer. The results are much better than untouched.

I guess it can't hurt. Should I use a polishing cloth?

I thought Testors/Modelmaster did two versions, non-buffing and buffing?
{edit}
Just checked. Yes they do. Maybe hes using the non-buffing versions?

I've haven't seen the non-buffing variety. All the LHS' around here only carry the buffing version which is awesome......when you buff it out.
I use Q-Tips (cotton swabs) or a microfiber cloth. Stainless Steel (IMO) buffs the nicest.

I've tried the sealer but could never get the shine to seal correctly. The shine I got from just the buffing would fog a little and look no different than regular spray. Now I don't even bother with the sealer.

i use metalizers all the time ,use a soft cloth for buffing and try not to handle to much after buffing as you can remove the piant
there are only a few non buffing ones the only one i use is brass but you can still polish it a bit ,dont use the sealer or clear coat it makes the finish look crappy
you can buff some of the matt tamiya paints especaly aluminum it comes up realy good

Besides the Q-tip, what kinda polish or whatever it is do you buff with? I've got some of the buffing metalizers but never buffed them, so I'm curious.

You don't buff Metalizer with "polish" (i.e.-compound or sandpaper). You polish the Metalizer to a shine with a soft cloth or Q-Tip.....or something comparable. That's it.
