has anyone tryed the amazing tornado?

just wondering if it does anything beside spin the air,
and do they make them for the tbi camaros?
i know they are about 60-70 dallars. are they
worth it?

there might be something to it, i wouldnt think so, perhaps in a turbine engine, i just dont see the swirling air having much impact as it hits the back of the valve, stops moving and then the valve opens to stagnent air, rather than swirling air. but then ive never seen back to back dynos on it either.

i think they make one that would work for the tbi engines. it would probably just be the same one as for a carbed car. i dunno if it would really work or not. the idea kinda makes sence but then again it doesnt seem like it would do much if any good. i used to see there comercials all the time and they claim to dyno with more power but i wouldnt believe it unless i personaly knew the car and people that were dynoing it indapendantly from the company.

those are those things that clip into your air intake hose right? I dont think they do anything.. And if they did, chances are the increase wouldnt even show up on a dyno.. The "increased power and fuel milage" gained by the "charge of swirling air" would come to a halt as soon as it hit the back of the butterfly valve.. as Iroc mentioned.. I think the Helix power tower has the same idea with a bit better design.. It sits between your tbi unit and the intake manifold so there is less in the way to dampen the effects

yeah thats why im sceptical about them. what about a throttle body spacer, they say they
are sopposed to cool down the air going into
the intake.

im not sure how they cool it down at all??? Someone enlighten me?? I know they claim to swirl the air, as the tornado does..

the tornado is shit... dont waste your money, i dont see how it could help anything, i mean it kinda restricts airflow

the point of the throttle body spacer is it swirls the air, and gives it a tornado effect, therefore flowing faster.

well it still would restrict it... or delay it a little bit.... i cant quiet explain what im tryin to say.... i dont have enough brain power right now

i asked this question like 3 months ago, all the answers said its a rip off, its on ebay usually and on google they have some forum saying that it didnt help their car...

"the amazing tornado" ? No, won't do anything for your car at all.

I cant say ive actually known anyone whos gotten one. Why dont you just buy it and find out. Its supposed to reduce turbulence and in theory mix better but I have no first hand experience with one.

i was thinking of getting on for my 94 z

Youd be better off getting a throttle body airfoil than the tornado I would think.

the tornado , along with a AFR throttlebody spacer , and iceman coldair intake you can expect 18 more dyno rwhp that will run you around $320 all together . Not really something to stick your finger out the window at someone while your racing but if interested have web site's to find this stuff torando for I believe it was $38

I was just passing through
I have a 68 chevelle 427
Think of any motor like a compresser
suck
sqeeze
bang
blow
and you have the secret to HP
get more air/fuel in and out faster
and so goes the car
as far as the tornado goes the fastest way between to points is a straight line
I would say a cold air intake, bigger throttle body, injectors, and exhaust would be the best place to start. maybe some 1.7:1 roller rockers to open the valve abit more would also help. Under driving you pully system helps if your (not) spending alott of time at the lower rpm range.
Good luck
here's web site that might help

my friend bought it and after a day in his intake it fell over sideways and didn't do shit it kinda swirled from one end of the intake to about 1/2 way b4 going sideways (by the way it was an integra)

you'd be better off going out to eat a few times. neither gives you a significant power gain. If your going to spend money, spend it on something that matters to you.

If you have TPI just get an airfoil atleast they work.
