alright i did a search and i couldn't really find what i was lookin for.. in an earlier (much earlier) thread i asked about this stuff but i'm still kinda unclear.. do the obd 1 engines come with a cable transmission? eg/ 94-95 b18c..
if that's true, would a quaiffe lsd be rec.? i've read that they're the best, just wanna make sure.... Oh.. one more thing.. hard to install lsd? need to get it done professionally? Thx

pre 92 Civics and pre 94 Integras have cable. 92+ Civics, and 94+ Integras have hydraulic.

You could always hunt for the elusive B17A transmission. That was the '93 (?) GSR and I think that was cable.
Otherwise any first generation B16A is a cable transmission. The '92+ B16A's were the B16A SiR II motors with hydraulic transmissions.

B17A1 had a cable tranny, and was not geared the same as the later GSRs.

Gotcha. Didn't know that. I knew it was cable but wasn't sure if the gearing with the same.

You could always hybrid a tranny. I don't know enough about building trannys to tell you how, but it can be done.

sounds expensive.. how hard is it to convert to hydro tranny? think it'd be worth it in my case?
