stage 3 ported??

howdy, just curious...found a cheap pair of gt40p's that are stage 3 ported...how large exactly is "stage 3", is it a certain size??...ive heard the term before i just have the drive to know everything, hah. maybe eillob can fill me in on this one? :iceslolan
