Anybody successfully cleared duplicolor chrome?

Duplicolor chrome is pretty sweet, but I don't like how easily it rubs off. I'd like to bury it under some clearcoat, so I tried spraying some TS13 over it. Unfortunately, the clear fogged up. Has anybody successfully cleared this stuff, and if yes, with what? I'm thinking the chrome might be an enamel (or maybe even an acrylic) but that doesn't totally make sense because it dries in minutes. Anyway... anybody have any suggestions?

Don't clear it, It will get really dull. Oh and the paint is Acrylic Lacquer.

Success!!!

Thanks for the tip about it being an acrylic lacquer. I took my test piece and dipped it into Future floor wax, and it worked beautifully. Still very shiny (although a little duller, to be expected). Future is an acrylic (and smells really nice, to boot).

Future porbably is the best clear to use over any metallic. On smaller parts it can be applied with a Q-tip. I have used it over Alclad polished aluminum and it looked pretty good. Future is the best because it won't have any chemical reaction with any of the paints used.
