"JDM" Park lights

Anyone have any of these fake JDM park lights? Any opinions. Looking for a picture of them installed also (weither they be real or fake). Thinking of buying some, kinda like how they look but I'm scared there going to be so cheep they will leak or something.

Fake ones will probably be cheap and will probably leak... The real JDMs wont be cheap, and probably wont leak... Real JDM parts are never cheap... As for pics I dont have any... Sorry...

I thought the true JDMs were amber, and the Euros where clear?

Yeah I also thought true JDM's were amber. I dont want clear ones, everyone has those. Heh I guess it would have helped if i would have posted a link to the ones I was talking about.

Yea those are cheap... But I think if they have the rubber surrounding them they should be alright... I know my clear ones leaked on my 95 Civic, I just put some silicone around them, been fine since...

In short, SiZ is right, they came with clear lenses and amber bulbs... I always assumed since the JDM guys (the guys who dont like alteezas and wings) put ambers on their cars, they must be true JDM... Learn something new everyday I guess... :dunno:

Im sure u know this, but the 88-89 versions are different than the 90-91 versions... The newer ones have a hidden screw, as the older ones have the 2 on the outside... Just so u know and dont order the wrong ones on accident... :banghead:

JDM corners are clear, I should know - only the lower indicator boxes on the EF8 are amber.

I missed this - you are half-correct. They didn't come with amber bulbs however. The clear corners are actually parking/driving lights that engage with the first notch of the lights switch. The next notch engages both these and the headlights.

Why aren't they amber? Because JDM spec (not to mention Aussie spec) cars all come with sidemarker indicators which are amber, mounted on the guards. These in combination with the amber inserts in the bumper act as indicators.

Cliffs notes: corners are clear with clear bulbs. Sidemarkers do the job of USDM corners.
