Mercede Benz 190E, 1986

My air conditioner is blowing cold air out of the center vents and warm to hot air out of the side vents on either side of the dash. Has anyone ever had this problem and what is the solution.

the center vents in the 190e are "fresh air" vents only. They will blow out slightly chilled air whether the heat or ac is on. Some say the idea behind the chilled air, was to keep the driver awake on long road trips. Your side vents should be blowing out cold air with the AC and hot air with the heater. If they are not blowing cold, you may need your ac recharged.
