my running fault

boschman,regarding the maf sensor.sorry i forgot to say i changed my air flow sensor 3 months ago.i actually run a motor factors and we sell sheds loads of these sensors.your are also spot on regarding the parameter readings read on a code reader.when my air flow sensor failed it was still within the limits not to detect a fault.what i've found when these fail,the vehicle idles fine and runs smoothly,you've just lost a massive amount of power.going back to my fault,mechanics i,ve spoke to today have suggested either a diesel injector going down,or a possibility of some deposits from the bottom of my fuel tank entering the fuel filter.sorry i forgot to mention prior to my car stalling , i'd driven around 20-25 miles with the refuel light on.i did not think that could be the cause, but some say so.as always, and help is greatly appreciated.

As you may know we in the US don't get Passats w/TDI's, therefore I may be missing something that may differ from the US Diesels. I believe they are supplied in Canada. I will suggest going to this site as there are a couple of really good Diesel guys that moderate.
