Been working on tuner models but can't see to get anything completed. I had to go back to the basics to get over my building block. This is my first post, Hope you all like it. It's far from perfect, but it's cool and it served it's purpose. I should have a S15 and a T bucket completed by end of the month.
By the way, i saw in the faq about uloading image... I have no upload option, so I hope these url's work.

Color is a basecoat of rustoleum chrome. Over this I applied a coat of Gunze metalic red followed by a coat of metallic red with a little transparent red added. each successive coat got more and more transparent red added to the mix till the topcoat which was only 20% metalic red and 80% transparent red.

Main kit; Revell 32 ford coupe (new tooling not the old one) Engine; Revell hemi hydro. Rear wheels; Revell 22 JR. Front tires; AMT slammer snap impala pro street cop car. Hose fittings are resin by garagecast resin. Rear springs were scratchbuilt by wraping solder around a screw and maounting them on blacked out nails (yes the rear is really mounted on iron nails :) ). Heres a preview of my next Duece cast by http://afxnscaleresin.150m.com/ (no pinholes, excellent casting):

I like the Hemi you've got in the first Deuce. Care to share how you pulled off the cycle front fenders and the bobbed rears?

Also, I'm digging the Revell sprint car mechanical fuel injection on the modern Ford 4.6L out of the AMT Phantom Vickie that you've got in the new Deuce. Looks too cool.

That looks great. I love the paint. I like how you mix a few different paints to make one amazing sweet looking original color.

It was late when I posted and I knew I had forgotten to mention something...
the front fenders are from a AMT prowler. I used the uprights from the prowler too since the fender bracket was part of this. then just superglued the uprights to the ends of the stock axel where the spindles were. The rear fenders are from the same kit and really are what inspired the whole build. One day I was staring at piles of parts (how I get most of my inspirations) and noticed the footprint of the prowler trailer was the same shape at the footprint of the duece. So i hacked off the fenders and glued them on the 32 with very minimal sanding needed. everything evolved from there.
To mount the hemi, I used the ford transmission and the motor mounts from the speedboat. Stock motor mounts were shaved. This gave me the best fit and meant that the transmission cleared the floorpan and that the stock driveshaft would fit.

As for the other duece, i haven't decided on a color yet.. maybe just paint it flat black with some scrapes and rust spots, a real beater.

Very nice! I love the color. Very sexy. Your next one looks just as mean... I can't wait to see it done. Those big engines and tires make me afraid to keep working on my puny little flathead powered whitewall wearin' coupe, the competition is too stiff!
