I currently have two 91 MR2s (one turbo, one na).

I have owned 2 other 91Ts, a 93T and another 91 NA. I have also owned an 86, an 87 and an 88 MR2 ... for a total of 9 :)

Hi! I'm just still new to mr2 1987 a 4age injen I want to put some more speed street legal . I just put ngk wires and spark plugs,KandN filters. and why swap 3sgte injen and not 4agze injen?

I've got a '90 JDM GT

pretty stock right now (havent had it 6 months yet) TRD lowered springs, 16" wheels, Apexi air intake.

been sorting cooling probs (not the head gasket and been bled properly) then planning some big mods for it.

I currently own a Red 91 NA. I put a little bit of money into it with Greddy exhaust, HKS intake, crossdrilled rotors (Got them cheaper than the stock replacements), TRD short shifter, NKG plug wires and iridium spark plugs, ana a bunch of my own custom stereo mods.

The car hadn't been running right since I bought it. Found out recently that the 2nd and 4th cylinder have 35% and up leakage. Probably getting worse everyday. Leaning towards doing engine swap but am unsure of it due to cost, reliability, and state emissions.

Have a 1991 MR2 with some work, i havent run it at the track yet but should be ready soon. here is a list of mods,(exterior) Border body kit, custom tail lights, droped 1.6" all around, ADR 17" rims, left and right TOM Style ram air scoops, eibach sway bars, entire body has been shaved, street glow white under caradge kit,(interior) race seats, aluminum guadge bezzle, reverse glow guadges, customer guage pods in center console, aluminum dash trim, 4 point harness, custom painted interior, reverse glow shifter, (sound) 2 JL 10" subs, 2-4" mid, 2-6" mid, 4-tweeters, 3 1000 watt amp, 2farad cap, (suspension) eibach sprins, tokiko struts, eibach alingment kit,(motor) i have been thru 2 motors in this car and are curently back to the stock motor well not stock but it is the 2200 with corilo rods, ross pistons, rc 550cc injectors, ported and polished, 1mm over valves, shaved cams, adjustible cam gear, TRD plug wires, ngk plugs, vortek fmu, XDM custom intake, XDM custom exhuast, i also have custome pices built for the car just too much to keep going, lol. This car is not 100% yet but once all work is done will post some pic's of the work.

I have an 85 super red na 58k original zracing rims fully built and tuned racing suspension dont ask me whats in it I just bought it like that the people that I bought it from were going to use it for autox, came with a 12 point roll cage trd headers(useless), and a brand new set of comp ta r1 's on mystery rims, picked it up for a cool $3650, I havnt done anything to it becasue im so frickin broke.

i own a yellow 92 NA t-top with kyb agx struts and tein s.tech springs as well as an exedy clutch and "custom" intake. i use it as a daily driver and something to have fun in the corners with and a little drifting too.

i also own a black 91 NA hardtop with everything stock except some cheesey 16's the previous owner put on it. i just got it running so i haven't done any aftermarket stuff to it yet but will very soon!

i have a 91' mr2 with a 93' suspension and 93' tail lights with a apexi turbo and tein lowering springs i have a apexi n1 exhaust also i have a trd short shifter and trd lsd and trd front and rear sway bars i have recaro racing seats enki 17" or52 rims on toyo tires i have a trd wing and toms body kit with a toms scoop i have the carbon fiber hood and trunk and engine lid i also have trd foglights and trd engine mounts im runing trd motor oil 2!!! i have a hks intake and greddy spark plugs i have a msd ignition and blaster coil i have msd wires and trd ground wires the sound system contains an infinity 600 watt amp infinity kappa perfects (6 1/2) in the front and infinity kappa perfects(3 1/2) in the back and a panosoinic deck this car has come a long way and i will soon post some pics

Ive got a 91 na. Had cold air and huge 3" exhaust when i bought it. Just threw its rods like my old MG did. Anyone know where to get a good 2nd gen turbo engine?

hey, im pretty new to the mr2 clan; just bought a 85 mk1 w/ hks turbo, msd ignition and coil, stand alone engine manigement system, blitz boost controller, and a apexi turbo timer,etc. its....sweeeet expecially from a 87 nissan sentra p.o.s.

I absolutely love this car. Ive been researching them for about 6 years (and im only 20), and i finally bought one. Unfortunatly some of the mods on the major MR2 website arent exactly mature to say the least, which normally would make it pretty hard to be enthusiastic about the MR2 scene and make it hard to tune without advice.. but there are ways around that. All ive had time to do are some basic mods:

KYB AGX 4 way adjustables
EIbach pro kit
diamond cut corners, orange bulbs.
Momo shift knob
TRD Boost gauge
Dual gage pilliar pod
Police scanner with integrated speaker-in-heater duct (drivers side)
2 way radio mount on roll bar
camcorder mount (hope depot :) ) on center console..

I would have a LOT more including the ATS racing upgraded Greddy TDO6 turbo kit, but ive had to replace nearly everything in the engine bay. :(

i just recently purchased an 89 N/A MR2
had it two weeks the the head gasket blew along with 3 cracked valves a crack in the exhaust manifold, etc... other than that low milage new interior very nice body. its been in the shop for over 2 months now and some of the mechanics are stumped they sent the head off to the machine shop and put it back together and still they say all 4 cylinders have no compression??!! if anyone has any idea of what to do please let me know asap this car needs to be on the road and not in a shop.

I got a call from the shop saying that a piston was siezed thats why there was no compression??!! whatever all that matters is that all he has to do is put the head back together whooo hooo!!!! 2months and 1 week without my baby blows ass

I have a 93 mr-2 turbo with a 3rd gen j-spec motor. Built with hks parts. Hks tubular manifold. Hks intake. Hks 3inch down pipe. ct20b turbo. custom intercooling pipe work, blitz bov, greddy fcd, manual boost controller, autometer gages, gutted primary and secondary cats, momo 15 inch wheels with 225/50/15 wheels all around. White caps to match white paint. T-tops leather. fully loaded. paints ok, Oh yah fpr also chrome looks nice.Running on american spec ecu but do intend to install j- spec ecu i have. After installation of map sensor. Best quatermile time at 15 lbs was 14.0 flat at 99 mph. NOt running 100 percent at all but very fast fastest top speed. 150 on highway in fl at 2:00 in the morning.

My Brother has a 93 N.A with an intake and pretty soon , exhaust.

I curently have a 91 turbo that i just got. i also have a 91 n/a which i trying to sell. and i had a 93 n/a but that got ran over by a blazer bot to long ago. that really sucked

Just bought a 93, n/a, cause i figured i'd supply the turbo, but wanted the handling upgrades and cause im tired of seeing front drive, front engined p.o.s cars (especialy civics). God I hate the person in the civic/rsx/integra who thinks they have a sports car Then realized after i bought the car I didnt need em as I was gonna replace em anyway. now im even more pissed of because the 1mz motor i was gonna buy, seems to have an unresolved engine defect that makes sludge, and that i needed the turbo tranny to do the v6 swap, not to mention a custom made motor mount. I love this car.

I got a mkII. It has 184 hp @ 13psi with room for improvement. It has hks exhaust, k&n intake, trd short shifter, nology hot wires, ngk coppers gapped @ .028 . It is my girlfreind while Im single, taking all my money!!!!!

Hi all, I have an 89 mk1 SC. No mods yet, looked for over a year before buying. I've always wanted an MR2, like them all but really love the mk1's. It's dark blue, 5 speed, and runs great, small rust spots, one on the roof, 2 on the trunk lid, wheel wells in great shape. Don't want to do anything major in the mod department, suspension, tires & wheels, exhaust. Any suggestions on where to start on mods, will be appreciated. Also need info on suspensions, coilovers, sway bars, ect.

I've got a MK2 rev 1 in Black with is not that common in UK spec like mine is. Most black ones appear to be Jap spec.

It's got 120K miles on the clock with a complete and up to date Toyota history. The lady who owned it took it to the main dealer even if it had a blown bulb !!!

I needed three new tyres so bought a set of Rev three wheels on ebay which improve the look. I have also fitted a flush panel on the rear between the lights to get rid of the honeycomb look. I've rewired the rear lights so the inside ones act as both brake and fog lights, with a switch to make it fog only when it has the annual test so that it complies with UK law. I've also fitted a rev 2 bib spoiler on the front. The pics below are out of date as I have the later OE spec clear front indicator/side lights as well.

Inside, I got hold of a driver side sub. The car came fitted with the active system, with the passenger sub and amp so now it's the same spec as the Premium active system. Added to that my own headunit and multi changer, bigger front speakers and an independant amp to power them, and she sounds quite nice.

I might be modifying the exhaust soon. Basically having the middle box removed and a straight through pipe in it's place to give a deeper roar and louder.

I have a '91 MR2 NA. I have 16" motegi's with toyo proxess 205/40ZR16's on the front and 225/50ZR16 Bridgstone Potenzas on the rear. I also have tein s-tech springs on all 4's along with Billstein struts.

The car has a lot of factory options. Power windows/locks/mirrors, no power steering (which is great), 5-speed manual trans, T-tops, and premium audio.

I hooked up an aftermarket amp to the factory sub because the sub wasn't hooked up and it is really easy to hook up an amp.

I plan on getting different sway bars along with a rear strut brace. Also I plan on getting '94 tailights and clear corner lenses. Possibly might get some new gauges be cause i like the cleaner look of gauges with white backs instead of black.

New and very proud owner. Been searching for a project car for about 2 to 3 years now but nothing really grabbed me until I heard about the mid engine rear wheel drive mr2's. I bought a rust free(amazing for wisconsin) 85 with 138k miles and couldnt be any happier. THANKS TOYOTA!!

I have a 93T (1993 MR2 Turbo) Purchased in 2005 with 84K miles. Currently has 103K miles.

Testing LED's for tail lights. SSR Forged aluminum wheels. Kumho Ecsta MX 215/40 R17 tires on front, and General Exclaim UHP 245/40ZR17 on rear (the General's suck!)

I also have a 1991 na MR2. 133K miles. Mods: Aftermarket wheels, and tires (forget what it has), and........oh yeah, a Cadillac Northstar 4.6L V8 engine and GM F40 6 speed manual transaxle!

currently i have two mr2's a first and second gen. a 87 and 91. a friend of mine had one and raced it often in autocross courses. theres a fair amount of mr2 owners where i live. definatly the second gen is my favorite though
