Get an aftermarket one. MUCH better and faster motor and glass movement and doesn't cost much more.

just make sure the seals are good because aftermarket sunroofs are notorious for leaking if you dont sit there and tell the fools what to do....other then that what he said!!

How hard would it be to put an aftermarket sunroof on a car not equipped with one at all? How much do you think it would set me back if I had it done?

As for the size, I don't know. You gotta find out the hard way. But you still need to set up all the electronics to get it to work and make sure you have a good seal.

Depends. Manual? Or Auto? Professional or Amatuer? I've seen someone buy a manual setup for $150, cut out a hole with a jigsaw and install as per instructions. It's not hard at all, you just gotta over come that whole BS ppl have with cutting into thier car's sheetmetal.
And I've seen someone buy a motorized setup for $700 and pay several hundred more for install.

PLEASE DONT ATTEMPT THAT YOURSELF!!!!!!!
this is what i know about aftermarket vs. stock sunroofs...
stock ones look alot better, and will not leak usually, what sunroof do you have? the one that slides on top of the roof, or the kind that goes in the roof, if you have the kind like the new SI's, that will be very difficult to install...because theres tracks that go back into the roof.
Also, there are drainage tubes on the factory ones that go back near the trunk somwhere i think....so its not gonna be an easy job.
The factory ones are also curved to match the roofline exactly....the aftermarket ones are flat....so stick with factory and goodluck!!!

ok what car do you have? do you have a 92 SI?
that, and the EX are the ONLY civics from 92-95 that came with a stock sunroof which was power....if you have one, and its manual, then its not stock, if you dont have an SI or EX, then the sunroof is not stock....
this of course applies to the US only...i dont know about other civics in other markets....
