Chat room?

Anybody ever think of putting a chat room in here. There would be alot of big problems like the extra load on the servers and stuff, but I think it would be cool to get into a chat room and have a real discussion on some topics rather than reading a thread that is 5 pages long that is mainly full of smileys.

Chat rooms associated with forums defeat the whole purpose of having the forum.
Not only that, but info on chat rooms, once it has moved off the main page, is gone and lost.
Info posted on a forum is always here to be read.

yeah i realize that..i was thinkin of a chat room just to "chat" not really get in depth info..i was just thinkin i get bored at work and would rather chat in a chat room rather than hit refresh and see wat new topics are posted..but i guess there are lots of community chats out there for that

Ah, boredom at work....that's how I ended frequenting as many different areas of AF as I do.

Boredom caused me to move around the forums more :)
