Moving Battery?

I was thinking of moving my battery to the trunk of my car. First off is this a wise idea? If so what all needs to be done to do so? Could i just splice on extra lengths of wire to move it to the trunk? or is there more to it? I'm looking to add a cold air intake and moving the battery would give me more room in my 95 to add the intake. If its not a good idea where can i route my cai besides where my filter box is?

well your going to need a battery box, 30 foot of 0 gauge wire a kill switch to mount on the outside of your car, and vent the box.

the vent in the trunk works well for the battery or i was told, i seen a grand am with amps and subs and the batter moved to the trunk using the same guage wire that was up front

hey LD9 I wanna see your battery setup , that would be sweet , the guy i know who did it used same guage just longer to the trunk and a sealed enclosure so the outside vent is venting the battery

IHRA rules say you have to have a kill switch. So if you even run at a track that is under IHRA rules you have to have this.
