still having problems, what to do, what to do?

OK OK i know ive been talking and asking questions about what to do with my d15, i burnt a valve, did a valve job and now it smokes like crasy. Thought about putting in a d16z6. i dont have a new harness to use for the wiring of the d16 motor. found out about the piggy back harness, but thats not gonna help me with all the connectors under the hood. My friend who is a mechanic said that if we take the head off and take it to a machine shop and have them do a valve job, that my smoking should go away. The shop can get all the tolerances perfectly correct. The original head work was basically; cleaned the valves put new valve seals and put it back together. i'm at a loss. i just put $200 into buying a used head and all the gaskets. and i fixed one problem but created another. i dont want to spend the money agian on the head work if its not gonna work for sure. any thoughts, or advise? it would be very helpful.
