1993 Park Avenue Starting Problem

Beautiful car still runs well despite 170,000 miles.

Over the last couple of days I've been getting an intermittent starting problem.

I'll turn the key and the car will get power, all the dashboard lights come on. I'll hear a faint click and nothing happens. I'll try again and the engine will start to kick in for a slight second and then die. On the third attempt the engine starts.


Any ideas on what this may be would really be appreciated as I'm a computer person rather than a car person ;)
