Does anyone know where I can get replacement trunk supports? Stabilus is the manufacturer, but it appears that they are not readily available on the open market.
I think it is a german company (with american MFG. locations), but it appears that they don't sell them on the retail market... guess this means I have to go to a junk yard or GM for replacements.
This and the power antenna replacement are on my parts list, but it kills me to have go back to GM and pay their ridiculous markup. Any ideas?

check some auto recyclers. forget the power antenna. there is also the option of shaving antenna and installing an amplified one which goes by the radio under the dash. circuit city, best buy. or just buy a simple rubber replacement antenna at walmart.

I keep seeing pneumatic trunk and hood supports by some aftermarket company on ebay when I search for olds aurora, at least once I filter out all the damn hotwheels. Come on, hotwheels should 1. be out of the friggin package and 2. have splayed out wheels and look like they've been though a sandblasting chamber. It's not natural.
