CRX/Civic Mini-Me ECU Conversion (VTEC!!)

Here's some news for all you people running mini-me SOHC VTEC stuff in their CRXs and EF Civics..

I can now convert PM6 (88-91) ECUs to VTEC. Yes, VTEC.
You can now have your cake and eat it too, no more OBD1 conversions or expensive OBD0 B16 ECUs..

I start with your stock (or chipped) PM6 ECU, and modify it to have a VTEC output without any input from the VTEC pressure switch, etc. Run one wire to the engine bay and you have VTEC. My programmer sidekick has also added in the D16Z6 maps from the P28, so your PM6 turns into a P28, but you don't have to convert to OBD1 or anything else.. *As a side note, we're currently working on adding a second set of maps that switch with VTEC, just like a P28/P30/P72. Very cool.*

To run the new program, your ECU needs to be chipped. And luckily, I can now chip that big pile of 88-90 PM6s in your garage that supposedly can't be chipped.. Well, now theres' a way. I made a batch of little adapter boards so 88-90 PM6s are now chippable.. So now any PM6 can activate VTEC.

Sooo.. Get rid of that rigged-up RPM activated switch! Use your PM6 and engage VTEC the right way..
Take that RPM activated switch and put it on your NOS instead. ;)

I may be able to do other ECUs (PM8 maybe?) also, but I don't know and haven't tried. PM6s are a dime a dozen, so just use one of those.

Q: will it work for my four speed 89 DX hatch
A: Does your 4 speed DX hatch have a PM6 ECU and a mini-me VTEC setup?
If so than yes..

Q: will it work on a 91 crx dx automatic?
A: Nope, it uses one of the unused auto tranny lockup outputs on the ECU, so it can't control a auto tranny also.. That's the only conflict.
