Got a favorite tool?

Got a tool or product that you just gotta have when building a kit? Something you use on every model? We've all seen lists of things you need to have when starting your first ever model- but do you have something that if you couldn't find or wasn't availible, you'd stop building (or at least threaten to!)?
Xacto knife? SMS carbon fiber decals? CA glue? (Tamiya R34 kits?)
I thought of this the other day, working on the F50, and I ran out of Windex (American ammonia based glass cleaner). "Oh no! Out of Windex! I CAN'T model without Windex!" I use it to clean my airbrush and hand painting brushes when using acrylics, which is nearly always. Had to go steal a bottle form the upstairs bathroom cupboard!
Thought it'd be interesting to see what everyone esle considers essential for building!
For me, I'd have to say an airbrush, a set of dial calipers, and of course Windex.

Reference photos.
I can't build a kit unless I have tons of reference material to look at.

only thing that I always do (besides obvious) is to hand write colour name beside code in my own language (I can't remember all of those codes)

Time. And lots of it.
Can't agree with that more. My models take about a month each to be fully complete.

I don't know about a favorite tool, they all make me crazy from time to time.
The one thing I can't live without though is my visor magnifier. If it wasn't for that I might just as well paint everything one color, cause these eyes aren't what they used to be.
