chrome gauge rings

I purchased a set of chrome gauge rings for my 2003 325Xi: dealer told me that they will not install them because it would void my warranty. Is this true?
Has anyone self-installed these on their cars?
If so, any directions would be greatly appreciated ( just in case I get adventuresome!)

Search on www.DTMPower.net, 3er.de (if you read and write German), or on Roadfly.com and/or ask nicely and someone on there will help you!

However it may for some dumb reason void your warantee but I persoanlly highly doubt it!

Get a second opinion from another dealer beforew fitting them,you don't want to lose your warrenty,you may need it in the future,you know what dealers are like,any excuse not to honour it. :uhoh:

May I suggest you "google" something called the Magnusen-Moss act? You can install aftermarket products without voiding your warranty, but some dealers think they are above the law!

Thanks so much for that info- I will certainly look that act up. What I cannot understand is, this is the same dealership that installed the after-market angel eyes on my 325Xi- does that make any sense??
