Just got a set of Tein coilovers for my GSR and they rock. I'm sure they would be just as nice in your 240.

I agree Teins are nice, but ive been lookin at the Tanabes. Seems they both have a set out now for ~$700!!! Im looking between the two myself. This is for coilovers though....

I think when you get to that level (Tein, Kei, JIC, Tanabe, etc.) it's more of a question of budget and personnal preference then what's generally better

Kei Office rock, but do you really want to wait 2 months for them to get shipped?

I say get the teins. I have the Super Street for my 98 accord coupe and they are great. It almost rides like stock.

i think tanabe's are better but its up to you.

another alternative (what i did) would be to get cheapass megan racing springs and kyb gr2's and get tein tension rods. i have a damn stiff suspension for roughly $500.

naw man just get the tein basic coil over systems for a while get used to them then upgrade to better one's there cheap and gives u better handleing

Tein basics are still around $700, money doesn't grow on my tree. So I can't afford to get it and then ditch it for more expensive ones...just my $.02

For under 1600$ id have to recomend a set of Adjustible Konis and Some Springs (tanabe, RS*R, Eibach, Tein, Kg/mm) because for under 1800 your not really getting anything that Racing Coilovers are intended to do - race. Tein Coils are under dampened and Rust Easily (Steel versions), JICs are absolute shit, and none really offer double adjustabilty for preload or inverted struts.

If you want coilovers, GAB, Zeal, Cusco, Aragosta, Tein(RS/RE/RA), Sard, Buddy Club(often confused with crappy body kits) all offer excellent Coils in varying levels of preformance. but for the street id say stick to shocks and springs

yeah i know but everyone skewed off into coilovers

my suggestion of Koni Shocks and whatever springs you want... Eibachs seem to be well liked.

As for JICs i havent heard one good thing about them. ive seen a shock dyno to where the Dampening Adjustment barely changed and was completely random as in 1-5-3-7-2 from Stiff to Light, Then aparently the FLT-A2's RS version claimed to have custom (customer chosen) spring rates and valved to match the new rates. but are rarely shipped with the requested Rates. and JIC USA (Zeil?) doesnt have a shock dyno so the shocks have to be shipped back to japan to be Revalved. then last but not least ive heard that their customer service Blows.
Also Ive only seen a Few Cars with JIC coils on them all of them Factory sponsored Drifters or have hed them Revalved by RRE (Evos).

all of that is second hand from many people (one had a friend at Koni that dynoed the Shocks for him) but with everything ive heard about them i wouldnt ever buy a set.

You just said you had Teins on your Accord!!

I do have teins on my Accord. What I meant is I don't have the money to buy the basics $700 and then later buy the SS $1000. So that would mean $1700 on suspension.

Sell your old ones when you upgrade, ebay is your best friend.

Sil-fortySX

Even if I sell my old ones, I won't get the value that I spent on them in the first place...I would save more money if I just do it right the first time.
