I can remember reading a while ago there was a posting here with regard to having to remove the side axel to service some rear brake component of the 99 Silverado. Can someone refresh me on this?
Thanks.

I have an 02 (should be the same) and I had mine apart this weekend. You don't have to remove anything other than the wheel and caliper. My truck is Canadian and I needed a 18mm socket to remove my calipers, I think yours might be a TORX head but I'm not sure. Be sure and take off the rear rotor and inspect your e-brake while you have it apart.
