well i just noticed i had a burnt out passenger side headlight(lowbeam) so i figured i would pick up a new one. Turns out the old one wasnt burnt after all. I tried the old one in the other light and it was fine. tried the new light and swapped them all around and nothing. so i went to the fuses... all were fine even switched them around and it still wouldnt come on. Now for the wierd part. the driving lights wont come on either. yet if i pull the fuse for the drivers side they come on but very dim. and the passenger light still doesnt work. if i have both fuses in all but driving lights work fine except the passenger side lowbeam the high beams are fine the fog lights are all fine... i am unsure what else to do i am going to try a ground from frame right to the passenger side bulb but no other idea.

p.s. i did have it in to have that front quarter panel changed and ever since then this has been an issue plus my command start wont work either...

Thanx for the help i hope hehe...

take a look at a hayne's manual for the wiring diagram. i replaced my headlight assembly with a newer on and had a few problems also. i know that if both bulbs aren't getting power from the fuse box there is a feature that allows them to still be on but very dim like you said. there is actually a relay in the wiring that changes the whole polarity going to the lights which complicates everything also. normally you'll find a (+) going to each light and a (-) coming from each one (parrellel circuit), but when the driving lights are on, you'll have a (+) going to one light then it will connect to the other light with a (-) on the other end of the light (series circuit).

well i did kinda hack job all i did was run a second ground wire to the working headlight on the drivers side and it is all fixed up... granted it does look a little dimmer but it is the middle of the day and the lens cover is a little dirtier... so i figure it was just a grounding issue... the only strange thing i noticed still is that my day light dont come on just the fog lights still but that i am unconcerned with...

thanx for the help
