Getting license?

I'm 15 years old and I was working on getting my drivers license but I have always liked motorcycles so i decided to work on getting a motorcycle license and was wondering what you need?
I have already finished drivers education and was planning on taking the Basic RiderCourse to learn how to drive a motorcycle.

I don't know what state you are from but in michigan if you are under the age of 18 you need to take the motorcycle safety test which is a weekend of bookwork and driving. after the classes you need to take a writen test about ten to twenty questions at the secretary of states office or the dmv. after that you are good. I would strongly recommend the classes even if they are not mandatory in your area. plus in michigan for completeing the class you get a small reduction on insurance. any other questions let me know

in MAss i went to the DMV and got my permit, bought a kawa 89 500 to start off with. learned the basics on that then i took the safety course to fully learn all the basics and at the end of the safety course... we took a physical skill examine and i passed mine = they told me to go back to the DMV and i got my license. Check into the safety course in your area and find out if they include the examine for licenseing.... yea you will recieve a discount on insurance.... my spelling sucks and after i got my license, i discovered i got bored of the 500 very quickly after and upgraded!
