miles on Tahoe

I just got my 96 with 118000 on it. Anybody have any info on how long the 5.7 will last? or what is the highest mileage they have seen on the original engine?

my '96 4 door has 150k...i'm sure they will last longer if properly maintained

Its the tranny you've got to worry about

247,000 and going strong. I have replaced front axles, and a rear end recently, but the engine, tranny, and transfer case seem as strong as ever.
