OK, headgasket is replaced, nothing is leaking, the bitch drives.

Heres the problem. The car drives fine. But when it gets around 4,000 is starts making a strange noise from the intake, like a gagagagagagaga but really fast, along with the normal sound the intake makes. And I'm definetly not making the power up there like I should be. Im about to replace the cap, rotor, and get new plug wires, just because it cant hurt anyway. I got NGK plugs and gapped them to 1.1 like I said, but I may have gapped them a bit off due to me being really tired after working on my car for 10 hours straight.

So could it be:
-Cap and rotor
-Plug wires
-Incorrectly gapped plugs
-Timing is off

I pulled off my cap and I saw that its a bit corroded(sp?) and the rotor looks a bit burnt or something. So i sprayed it down with carb cleaner (cause that shit will take the tar off your driveway LOL) and cleaned it up kinda nice. But its still kinda odd looking.

And also, I looked in my manual and I couldn't find it anywhere, and this is probably going to sound dumb, but how do I take off my rotor? I dont see any screws or anything holding it in and I don't want to dive into it and end up breaking something. So if someone could fill me in on that, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks guys! Hope to have her running 100% by the weekend.

Ignition timing or valve timing could be off - check

There is a screw holding the rotor, it's just gotta be facing the right way. With cap removed bump starter until screw is reachable. Honda rotors come with a screw w/ thread lock applied. If you go else where make sure to put thread lock on that screw or IT WILL FALL OUT while driving.
