Turbo spool sound

If you didn't hate me yet, I wouldn't blame you if you do after you read this. I have 97' gsx w/ few mods, and I was wondering what it is supposed to sound like when I "get on" my car. I've raced red light to red light, and everytime I do I hear the turbo spooling. It sounds like it changes when I get to about 4000 on a steady pedal. It gets real loud. Im just making sure that its supposed to sound like that and that it's not blown. I had 105,000 on my old one, but I just replaced the turbo last week with another T25. Still makes the same noise - Its prolly normal, but I gotta ask.

too much rpm makes turbo work to hard...thats probably one of the many noises. but its FREAKIN cool as hell when i hear the turbo spool

Isnt that it just getting to full boost?

the turbo makes a sound like it's spinning at high RPM.. which it is. If you have a T25 set to 20psi it will sound like it's going to explode. It probably is. All turbos sound like that.

like a jet engine at an airshow...

yup!... jet engine is the perfect description for them :)... they sound sexy!!. can't get enough of seeing the looks on these girls on the street passing by.

yea i love when my turbo spools expecially when you are on vacume and you are just about to make boost and you hear the turbo start to spool on 1st gear.. my car sounds like a evo8 when its spooling in 1st.. man is it a good sound

lol hahahahaha........... dude dont trip i got a 95 eclipse gsx and when it reaches a high rpm the turbo spooling gets louder and if you notice your when you shift the blow of valve if you have one is more deep. it just means that your getting more boost. :smokin:
