neon light laws

does anyone know the laws for neon lighting in PA? I looked everywhere and can't find anything.

call the local police...they can give you the
run down on the colors. red and blue are illeagle
in kentucky, but i have them colors but only
turn the lights on in the cruise line.

Im sure the local camaro laws prohibit the use of neon light under a camaro..... :icon16:

As far as I know outside neon lights aren't allowed. Not sure if its on the Penndot web site. As a State inspector I would fail a car on inspection for neon lights.

they are legal in wisconsin but you have to be parked when displaying them and they cannot be blue or red. i know from experience :) damn state troopers. but that probably doesnt help you cause ur not in wisconsin.

Thats the same in my area too. You cant have red or blue period, and any other color you have to be stopped for the lights to be on.

thanks for the input. I figured outside neons were illegal.... still would like to fidn out about inside. My buddy's dad is a state trooper and said interior neons are legal but from what I understand different cops think different things. I read parts of the PA vehicle code and couldnt find any defined rule about neons.

PA law does NOT allow any kind of ornamental lighting whatsoever for street use.
