Street racing

Does anyone know of any street racing in the raleigh/durham area. im not lookin for that fast and furious shit i want real street racing

what do u mean "none of that fast and furious shit" if people were really racing 10 sec. cars wouldnt that be "real street racing"? or maybe "fast and furious shit" is regular drag racing and by "real street racing" u mean weaving in and out of traffic and stuff?

well considering Fast and the Furious was lame maybe he wants to see real cars not N/A Eclipses they claim to have T-4 Turbos and oh yeah, in the opening sequence the Eclipse shifts 7 times.....

just because they claim to have turbos when they don't, and shift 7 times doesn't mean its not street racing.

what they did in the fast in the furious is street racing no matter what the cars have under the hood. i mean obviously hes not trying to find dominic in his rx7 so he can race him cuz it was a movie, and ive already seen all the fake stuff in the movie but like has been said before it was only a movie. what im saying is, since the exact proceedings of the movie were obviously made up for the sake of it being a movie, the premise of the movie itself is still street racing, so what else would u consider "real" street racing?

i don't know..........a movie is fiction.....that means it's not real.......i don't know what the big fuss is about.....people are all criticizing how the movie is not realistic enough.....if the movie was exactly like street racing......who would pay 8 bucks when they can go to the real thing for free......anyways......

If you are ever in the Atl area I will race you and if I am not enough I know plenty of other people that will!!!:D

ahh understood!

i pretty sure there's racing around where you live you just have to look for them, usually by word of mouth. over here in cali the basic premise of the street racing presented in the movie is correct that is, meeting at a meeting location, setting up races and then going to a racing location out in the boonies. Over here there also is a pack system as well only at some locatiions though, in the pack system you float around looking for another import, then you follow him then somoene follows you and so on, the person in front selects a location and people just line up and run, if it gets broken up the floating begins all over again. So that stuff really does happen especially here in cali, but not with all the flash, and most of the time its not only hondas/acuras imports, everybody races even motorcycles.

here in ST. louis, we generally just meet up somewhere like dairy queen and head out to this old road with a dotted line surrounded by corn. We have people at both ends, and people on cell phones tell us when theres no one coming so we line up cars by twos and run them

Here in Calgary, we have to ride around in our sled dogs and ask other people in their igloos to see if they want to race their dogs. If they do usually they throw out a piece of fish to signify they want to race. Then we race usually to Bob's house, eh.
