I'm new to the forum incase you guys didnt know. Anyways I am 16, and I have narrowed my selections to either a 92-94 3000 GT or a 99 Eclipse GS-T. I was just wondering what the average insurance is for these two cars. I live in Arizona, We all have clean driving records, I maintained a B average, and took Drivers- Ed if it helps?

You can call your local insurance companies for quote. But generally, male driver cost more than female; sport car cost more than sedan; 2 doors cost more than 4 doors. Age under 23 (somewhere around there) will cost more. Good grade will bring down the price a bit, but not much.

Like KoHC said - get ahold of an insurance agent to get some quotes. You can also get some online quotes from progressive.com or geiko.com (sp?) which will at least give you some ideas of insurance differences between the two cars.

Welcome to the forum,
first off, it would depend what model you got, base, sl, or twin turbo vr4.
secondly, do a search in this forum titled 'insurance' every week someone asks this question, and I have answered it a bunch, with a long list of ways to get deductions, over the last year I managed to get mine down from 5k to 2900 a year.

Yea it's because I live near Boston and here people have a lead foot and are always reading a news paper or something, plus stupid government controlled insurance rates stop compitition.
