my 00' ex swap

hello all,

Wanting to know if 3500$ is reasonable for the following: 00' b18c1 complete engine w/65,000 miles. Includes motor,tranny,ecu,axles,shift linkage,and harness.
I'm looking for a B18C1 for my 00' civic ex. To me it sounds like a great deal. Its a 00' so its OBD2 and it has just about everything I need for the swap, minus the mount from a 00' si and other extra parts.Also just confirmed its USDM. Just wondering if this is a deal YOU would go for. The Guy selling the engine sent me pics and it looks pretty clean. If all works out, this weekend I'm gonna take a ride and check out the swap myself.
Also anyone in the Raleigh/Durham ,NC area on here? Would love some help with my swap and just some guys to bs around with.

sounds kinda overpriced. where i live the local shops carry b18c (complete motor/tranny/ecu) for 2400-2800. only thing it doesn't come with is axles and linkage.

aren't there smog legality issues with swapping in an older engine than what the car is? just a thought

Its the same year. I have a 00' civic ex and the swap in question is a 00' B18C1. Same year or later and its legal.

You can find b18c5's and b18c's for that price. I would shop around of a j-spec itr b18c. You should def be able to find one of those with lsd tranny for that price. then you got 210 hp and a lsd tranny! And if you shop right you should be able to have enoug money for the axels and linkage.That would be a pretty mean set up!

Yeah, I've done some research and with the plans I have in mind I'm going with the B18C1. Later on in the future I plan on boost.
I think i'm gonna hold off on this swap. Guys got me thinking I'm not looking hard enough.
