hey guys and gals,

Not been on here much recently, ive been busy but have managed to fit a turbo timer to my gto alongside other things around the house. Had a lot of fun with it doing 0-60 and 1/4 mile bursts with her.

i was wondering what 0-60 times we have between us.

the best i have clocked is 0-62 or 100kph in 5.16 secs which if my mathematics is correct would give me a 0-60 time of 5.0 dead. ( this was done in damp conditions) what are our cars capable of in perfect dry conditions??????

I have seen some 4.9 60mph times before, its not uncommon to break into the 4's with this, especially with a few minor mods, but its doable stock, were talking like 4.93-4.95

is that on a stock clutch?

hey you guys im really confused because on every forum i go to they say 3000gts N/A run mid to high 16s. i know that isnt true. Im just wondering were there getting there stats from. they make it seem like every 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder car can beat a 3000gt n/a. i know Bases and SLs arent VR4s but they do deserve some respect. oh yea also in an old thread i saw something that dissapointed me. Yogs was saying that all 3000gts N/Aowners would probablytrade their cars for a 10 sec civic. i would never trade a 3000gt even for a faster car unless it was a vr4 ,supra or Rx7.

A turbo timer doesn't do anything for your cars performance - it only keeps the engine running after you turn off the key to let the turbos cool down. Did you mean a boost controller?

I totally agree with you. In every 1/4 mile time site, SL's are always listed as being mid 16's, so I guess that's where people get it from. The lowest I've ever seen them listed was 15.9 which isn't even close to what I get with mine. 3000's in general don't get a lot of respect though. But then again that's mainly from people who don't know anything about them. Even the SL's deserve respect. They hold their own against a lot of cars out there, even despite their weight. And I would never trade my SL for a 10 second civic because well.... a 10 second civic... is still a civic. In fact, the only thing I'd really trade my SL for, would be a VR4, a viper, or an S7 :iceslolan

lol yea i know that iam just stating that i have one of those turbo timers that can do 0-60 and 1/4 mile readings.

And the person who asked me about my clutch when i had my tranny rebuilt i change my clutch it's the factory clutch but it's also brand new though. So i dunno but i been consistantly pulling 4.8 sec 0-60

ive heard that many times which is really annoying because after 2 days buying my gto, the clutch went (i knew it when i bought it but being in the trade it didnt worry me as i knew i could do it myself) but i put a stock clutch in as i didnt want to wait for an uprated one from the states as it would take 2 weeks for me to get it. you cant buy upgraded clutches over here easily and i just wanted to get it back on the road quickly and have some fun.

worst decision ive ever made im afraid.

cant wait for it to go again so ive got a good excuse to buy something decent, any recommendations??

Hey this is azn's friend the reason that they done get any respect is cause there not fast without the twin turbos its like ive drove a vr4 and when u hit the gas right away your like man this dosent have any balls but then when the turbos hit u got somthing.but hey good call on the civics they do suck and also good choice on the viper and s7 two awsome cars.
