I like the new 2002 RSX-S Type but I also like the 97-99 Eclipse GS-T or GSX model's...

I don't have any money saved up, but a used 1997 Eagle Talon TSi AWD which is up for sale at 9,500.00 (56,500 miles)

If I do get a new RSX-S Type I will probably just put a body kit on it once I find one I like, and intake/exhaust and upgrade the sound for sure! Once I see forced induction for it, I'll put that into consideration. I'm only a high school student that can afford 300.00/month for car payments - and still some extra money for gas and oil changes..

Now if I lease/finance the RSX i'm going to be broke for 4 - 5 years!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now if I get an eclipse GST OR GSX (prefered GSX) - I can just selll my car and buy the used eclipse with the money from the other car.. The reason why I want to sell my car is b/c its automatic, i want manual!

So if I get the eclipse - I won't do anything to the car until my b-day in July when I can have at least a decent amount to work on my car -

1) new 2.0L engine
2) heavier duty transmission - clutch, etc...
3) intake/exhaust
4) intercooler upgrade
5) fuel injectors/fuel pump upgrades
6) body kit
7) sound enhancements
8) larger turbo with guages/controllers

and so on...

What do you guys think, and why? I need some opinions!!!

if you go with the gsx, get the largest engine you can get. the more litres you have, the more torque you will have :) TORQUE IS REAL POWER :D

for intakes, K&N, Injen, AEM make some good ones. the Injen one will run you about 200 dollars, but from what i hear its worth it. the exhaust, i would go with either greddy or thermal. they both make damn nice ones, but again it will cost you around 500 to 600+ depending on type.

fuel injectors, get some big ones if your planning on upgrading your turbo id say 625cc injectors will get you up and around :)

as for body kits, i wouldnt do toooo much, a different back end and some side panels, but dont put a spoiler on it. it just makes it look TOYish rather than sleek and sophisticated like an eclipse should be :sun: and get a nice paint job.

as for sound enhancements, your exhaust, intake, and turbo upgrade will more than take care of that. unless you mean speaker wise. then im not really the one to talk to. i hear one JL 12W7 sound like three JL 10W3s and have good sq.

for the turbo upgrade, get a mitsubishi turbo, a big one tho, not something puny. make sure it will push you past 300hp at least :)
