clutch info... PLEASE

is my clutch going bad???

it doesnt slip or anything... i can churp 2nd and 3rd gear still... but someting wierd has just started happening within the past week... used to i would launch at about 3500 to 4000 rpm and spin mostly threw 1st then grab at bout 7,000 then shift at 8200..... lately i can launch at 7,000 rpm or 7500, or all the way 8200 redline.. and it spins a bit then grabs and bogs... like to 4,000 then picks rite up... any ideas on what might be wrong...

clutch and cams have nothing in relation other than the cams creating more power to the flywheel. i don't understand why you are launching at 8200 redline. :rolleyes:

launching at that high of rpms is bound to break something, starting with your clutch. my first piece of advice, is to stop launching at 7000-8000 rpms. its not going to get you anything except for prematurely worn out parts, starting with your clutch.

if your engine is revving up, but your car is not moving any faster, while the clutch is engaged, then your clutch is slipping. you should try and figure out where your clutch is engaging at, and use that to determine how much life your clutch has left in it. from there, decide whether or not you want to get a new one.

the clutch grabs... like i said burns 2nd and 3rd gear... its just wierd take off's have nothing....
