Hey everyone...most of you all know that my car is a piece of shit and I have been working my hardest to fix it, but I am just getting tired of it...well one day I was talking to my dad becasue I was about to go get something to fix my car and he said forget about it and offered me his 87 fiero gt....the car is outstanding 66,000 miles interior is in showroom condition, but the only think that it needs done to it is...it need a new altenator, front left rotor, wheel bearings and seals...then for the car to be perfect...all it will need is a paint job...so tell me this is not a good deal, from my 169,000 mile primer gray automatic screwed up car and cant find out half of the problems with the damn thing...but anyways I just wanted to let ya now....

Hey Ragtop has in the conv. project coming along?

another question...I was looking into some springs they had on the fierostore....intrax and eibach i think, which ones would any of you perfer...i like the ones that drop it about 2" with a nice rim, but that is my opinion

While the convertible part won't really start untill winter (can't stop driving it long enough to take it apart!!) I'm making plans and drawing designs. My 3.1L holley 390cfm 4 barrel v6 is really comming along - I punched the specs in desktop dyno and it shows 250hp @ 5500 rpm - oh yea!!! I'm toying with the idea of adapting heavier, more durable GM W-body struts to fit and allow for wider tires in the rear.

Changing the springs to drop the ride height of a car will change the way it handles, any suspension mod will. Unless you have access to a alignment rack and laser alignment system ( like me :) ) it could end up being very costly tweaking things untill you have no unusual tire wear and things feel just right. I *kinda* know the geometry and physics involved in compensating for mods like that but not well enough to teach it. You could make the car look lower by adding a chin spoiler ( it's also a great add-on to improve high speed handling) aftermarket rocker panels and/or clip on ground effects, and a rear bumper valance. Same look, or better... and it'll be less of a headache.

That V6 pulley set you bought for your primer beast,,, were they billet aluminum? where did you get them?

Alright I wil look into the stuff you said that will make it look lower....sounds like you are having fun over there...lol yeah the primer beast will never die hahahaha 169,343...(it lives forever) i got the whole pulley set at fierostore.com....they got to separte ones though....u can either get the crank and altenator (which i got) or just the crank....but yeah i recommend them...bout the only thing i got that is actually good on the beast except for my beloved k and n air filter..lol

What do the pulleys you guys are talking about do? What are they exactly?

Underdrive pulleys add power by dropping the amount of engine power used to drive the alternator and water pump. Slowing down the water pump, however, is a bad idea on a Fiero.
