Performance Chip

I seen this online and was wondering what everyones opinion is.

I can almost guarantee you that soon after you plug it in, you will have an intake sir temperature sensor fault. (that's where the chip gets plugged in.)

I'm not sure what exactly this chip does, but whatever it does is very simple, and can probably be done with a couple jumper wires if you find out what circuits are being manipulated. I'm guessing that it fools the computer into thinking that the intake air is colder than it really is, thus allowing more fuel by extending fuel injector pulse width.

On 2003 and up Sierras, the computer also compares that IAT to ambient air temp, and extrapolates what the Mass Air Flow should be under those conditions. Those numbers will not agree with this chip installed and may also set a MAF sensor code.

My opinion :2cents: --- If you buy it you will see increased fuel consumption, maybe a bit more acceleration off the line, and you will see your SES light come on.
