My car just finished getting painted on friday! I still have a lot of work to do, though. I'm trading the tenzo r's for white wheels, and I definately need to drop it . . .

1. Don't like the color
2. Don't like the bodykit
3. The car needs to be lowered
4. I like the rims
5. I like Del Sol's

Don't get mad at me...I'm just being honest.

hmmm I like the car, and the rims are hot. I don't like the front bumper much, and is it a very light blue or is it a bad picture of white? I couldn't tell. you are correct about it neeeding a drop. overall the car is not bad at all very clean looking except for the bumper.

There's always haters, no worries, just go with what style suits you. :)

If I could make a suggestion on some mods to maybe look into, lowering the car of course, since it looks like you're into the show end of things, either height adjustable coilovers or air cylinders might be your best bet if you are planning on lowering it at all. Also, I think your Del Sol would look very nice with JDM one-piece headlights, where the corner blinker/parking light and lense is all part of the headlight unit. Keep up the good work with the car though.

Thanx for the replys- whether you like it or not, it's nice to have different opinions!

and is it a very light blue or is it a bad picture of white?

It's baby blue- its a little bit darker than the pictures . . . bad lighting?

Yea, I was thinking I'd go with adjustable coilovers b/c I'm running low on funds at the moment. I'll have to see if I can find the jdm headlights. :)

philly's not bad- my schools right on the edge of west philly- you just have to know where to go and where not to go . . . but I left my car at my parents in jersey- too afraid it get stolen or vandelized.

ok I think I know what bothered me about the front bumper now.

its the mesh.. now don't get me wrong the mesh is good but the color of it shouldn't be the same as the car. what if instead of getting white rims you keep those ones ( which look badass already), and paint the mesh in the grille gunmetal or whatever color it is to match the rims. then with a lower stance and the jdm lights I bet it would be pretty sweet looking.

PS where are you from in jersey? I'm from rockland county new york just over the border. my car is from Kearney though:wink:.

oooooo, you're a chick. Ok, sorry about what I said earlier, I like your car more now. :) My suggestions is get some 1 piece headlights, lower it, and keep the wheels you have and just do some more black around the car.... the black gives the car a little more aggressive look.

lol . . . that's okay . . . I was doing the interior baby blue and white, so maybe I could incorporate black into it and the rest of the car :)

oh yea- one of the rims is bent a little- is there a way to fix it?

Beastiek2
06-01-2004, 05:13 PM
you can get it banged out at a tire shop
should be less then 50 bucks

or you can be dumb like me and get a 2/4 and huge hammer and slam it till its not bent but i wouldnt recomend that lol

I will get some pics when I move back to Jersey- I'm done school in a few weeks, so I'll have to wait till then-

Right now the dash is white w/ blue trim most of the other pieces in the car are done, but I don't know what color to reupholster the seats. They are gray right now and really stick out. I thought about doing them white, but i think it'd show dirt too easy.

and d@mn! are these prices normal for the jdm headlights? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33710&item=2480701786&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

That's damn good compared to brand new here (http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_72&products_id=359) and here (http://www.inlinefour.com/jdmdelsolone.html).   I paid $399 myself, for brand new authentic Stanley/Honda Civic Type-R headlights for my car. More reasonable there since they are a bit more widely available.

Anyways, good plan for keeping your car back home in Jersey. Some people just can't keep their hand to them selves. I had the Civic Type-R style lip on my '00 Civic coupe stolen off my car a few weeks ago while at school. Iwas upset, but laughed at the same time since it was scratched up on the bottom from scraping, and also had a crack in it. Suckers! My new one I replaced it with is held on now by 6 DIFFERENT types of screws and bolts.

hmmm . . . compared to those prices 250 isn't that bad!

Next year I have classes up here just at night and I'm commuting- I don't know where I'll park my car yet . . . I have a club and an alarm- hopefully that will be enough. But hey, at least the lip wasn't mint or anything. I bet if the try to take it now they'll get too frustrated w/ the 6 different screws and just leave it. . .lol

I really like del sols, I almost got one but got a Civic for more room inside. I like the color of your car, although I think that the mesh grill in the front bumber would look better not the same color as the rest of the car. But it still looks good.

In all honesty, if a good enough theif wants your car, no device will prevent them from taking it. I'd highly recommend investing in a LoJack system at the least. Maybe have a seperate kill switch installed. I actually made my own kill switch on my car that's completely seperate from my alarm system. You can IM me if you'd like, and I can tell you more about how to go about doing and making one.

With my old lip, I'm pretty sure the theives had cased out my car before taking, otherwise they wouldn't have known what means to remove it without damage.
