good buy?

I'm looking at a 1988 cherokee pioneer with 158000 miles.its inspected with new tires and muffler. the only problems i can see are the paint fading, its going to need a windshield to get inspected again next year and it shifts funny. they are asking $850. is it it worth it or should i look elsewhere
