If you want a quick thrill, get NOS

If you want your car to last at least 3 years with no major engine problems, dont get NOS.

NOS puts much strain on the engine, and if not properly tuned, it will kill ur ish.

you shouldn't need NOS ... you just need to install a nice intercooler and turbo intake ... and you'll be fine ... my friend took intakes off of an old ford probe ( turbo intakes ) ... placed a eagle or ( mitsubishi ) intercooler in and boom ... has been hitting 1/4 miles with his nissan 240sx at 15.5 ... he had to mod his chassis a bit ... and removed a/c but even though ... anyway ... NOS is a bad decision ...

Don't let movies in Hollywood give you ideas ... the only thing I appreciated from that movie was the roof scoop intake ... everything else is just like at a car show ...

All those watts must be gettin to your head bro. Turbo intake from a Ford Probe? a modified 240sx hittin 1.5 in the 1/4 mile? Damn a stock LS is close to that. The only thing you appreciated in that movie was the roof scoop intake? WTF? That thing was as functional as Mugen headers on a turbo car.

Alright...all sarcasm out of the way...

A turbo intake? What is this? Logically this would be an intake and/or air filter designed to filter air for consumption into the turbine...

But with an intercooler as well??

Hmmm..let's get and intake designed for a turbo and an intercooler w/o a turbo!!

You must realize that you need an exhaust manifold, wastegate, and of course a turbo itself to utilize a "turbo intake" or intercooler to your advantage.

Or is the movie gettin' to ya?

**Oh yeah..that movie was phat...for a movie.

man .. the kit my friend did was CUSTOM .... if that's a new word for some of ya'll ... i think you should check 86-89accord.com and check justin's turbo accord ...

my friend spent like two weeks customizing his 240 to fit the mod ...
and I was there for like more then half the time with him .. so ... if you can't understand the concept of what "we" ( my friend, cuz, uncle and I ) did ... you need to lay off the NOS .... ( Nothing Otherthen Shit )

back to what I was saying ... I would have gotten all the specs on it ... but you'll just laugh ... so ... I'm not gonna waste my time with this ...
and BTW ... you can turbo a DODGE COLT and reach 1/4 mile in 14.6
check out drag strip up here in MONTREAL ... SANAIR ...

haha man you didn't prove anything in that post. What kinda exhaust manifold does your friend have on his 240sx? And if your friend spend two weeks customizing a 240 to hit 15.5 1/4 mile times he's a fuggen dumbass IMO.

what happened to this thread?? it was supposed to be about where to mount a NOS bottle, and somehow it turned into an argument about a turbo intake and an IC....i'm not sure, anyway, i recommend the remote bottle opener with the bottle mounted in the trunk

This is for everyone.

Do Not install your NOS in your back seat, front passenger seat, or in the middle of the trunk. Your NOS SHOULD be installed in the trunk to either the left side or right side of the trunk as close to the wheel well.

The disadvantages of having NOS in a visible area is the following:

1: If you get pulled over or if a cop walks by your car and sees the NOS you can be fined $275 dollars or more. NOS is illegal in all states except on Race tracks.

2. If a bamma thief walks by and sees your NOS he might be tempted to steal it cuz its not that hard to unhook the hose and harness.

3. If you were to get into a car accident the NOS could act as a torpedo and mess you up bad.

4. If you were to get into a car accident the NOS could leak and cause an explosion.

5. If you got into an accident and the rescue squad sees the NOS- they will not be able to rescue you in a timely fashion, due to fear of an explosion. A bomb squad will have to be called in and that will take forever while you are laying there bleeding to death.

6. Most race tracks do not allow daily driven street rides equipped with NOS in the Back seat or Front Passenger side to use the tracks. Most tracks only allow full race cars to have the NOS at a reachable distance, daily driven rides must have the NOS installed in the trunk to the left or right side at an angle. This will save your life in the long run.

put it in the back right behind the center console. make it vertical so you can reach the knob. that would look pretty tight and it wouldn't be noticeable from outside the car unless you were really close. just my opinion

I'm pretty sure that it's only illegal if the system was armed and the lines weren't empty.....Like you were prepared to use it.
