suspension differences? 1500s vs CRX SI 86

i was wondering what differences there are between teh CRX Si and the 1500s...
is there anything of benift that i should change over
swaybars... springs, torsion bars, whole rear axel?

also wondering if the SI brakes are better than the 1500s...

Are you refering to the HF and DX?

The suspension components are pretty much the same for all '84-'87 Civic/CRX models with the the exceptions of the HF and Civic AWD models. The HF used a lighter rear brake drum made from aluminum. The AWD model uses an entirely different ladder bar rear suspension which is not compatible with other models but DOES have firmer torsion springs on the front. Though the AWD torsion springs are about 3/4" longer than the other Civic/CRXs, they will swap right in. There are slight differences between the Civic wagon (2wd) and CRX, but these parts are either not compatable or not worth the effort of swapping.

You would however benefit from swapping the rear axle form an '86-'89 Acura Integra. The Integra axle will widen the wheel base at the rear of a Civic/CRX about 3/4", but inside the Integra axle is a stiffer sway bar. You can also swap in the front arms from the same years of Integras to obtain about 1 deg negative camber, although this is not advisable for a street car.

The Integra brake system is almost a direct bolt on (some modification neccessary) for any Civic/CRX and will include larger rotors and rear disc brakes.
